Michelle Resch
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Michelle is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who provides couples counselling and individual counselling to children to adolescents and adults. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Mount Royal University and holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She has completed Level 1 Training and Treating Affairs and Trauma in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She has additional training in Trauma-Focused CBT and is currently completing training in EMDR and neurotherapy.
Treatment areas: Anxiety, Depression, PTSD/Trauma, Work/School Stress, Affairs/Cheating, Life Transitions, LGBTQ+ Concerns and Exploration, Anger Management, and more.
Michelle brings a person-centered focus and practices from a trauma-focused approach. She aims to use her clients’ innate resilience, experience, and wisdom to inform her approach to counselling. Michelle has an eclectic background including professional experience assisting in the field of law, supporting those affected by intellectual disabilities, and working from a harm reduction model with those experiencing addiction.
Promotion of inclusion and awareness of sexual and gender diversity is important to Michelle, and she warmly welcomes those with diverse backgrounds and life experience, including those in non-traditional relationships.
